1. How do you think your English writing skills have improved after completing this Wix e-portfolio? 

I think my English writing does improve A LOT! But I’m not sure if it has something to do with Wix e-portfolio, I think it is draft 1, 2, 3, peer editing, and e-conference that make me enhance my writing ability. Wix e-portfolio is where I display my works.

 

2. What do you think about creating the Wix e-portfolio for the final essay drafts?

I think creating the Wix e-portfolio for the final essay makes essays more lovely to read. Even though some people shared the same topic, we can see the differences in their design.

 

3. What do you think about creating the Wix e-portfolio for journal writing and commenting?

To me, journal writing is everything to Wix e-portfolio. I love to share my life, and writing English journals and sharing them on Wix are the ways I’ve never done before. And I love to read the comments below, though I’m not good at responding to them, I really cherish them and review them once in a while🥺

 

4. Do you think that journal writing should be conducted in the same way as essay writing (i.e., Draft 1, peer review, Draft 2, conferencing, and Draft 3 on Wix)? Why or why not? 

NO!!! Although journal writing is one of the assignments, it is more like a diary to me; I can write in a more casual and relaxed way. Most importantly, I can use emoji😍!!! If it conducts in the same way as essay writing, it will lose the essence of a “journal”. 

 

5. What did you benefit from TA feedback after you posted each final essay draft and journal on your Wix e-portfolio? 

Because I’m so familiar with my works, I might neglect that others might have difficulty reading them without TA feedback. 

 

6. What did you benefit from conducting self-assessment and peer-assessment of the Wix e-portfolio in the second semester? 

Because of the self-assessment, I pushed myself to edit the “About me” and “About this website” parts. Through peer-assessment, my peer said that he had problems differentiating between my writings due to the same background color, which I’d never thought of before.

 

7. How did this Wix e-portfolio enhance your skills other than writing? 

It makes me more creative, and makes me enjoy the whole writing process!

 

8. Overall, what did you benefit from creating and managing this Wix e-portfolio? How is it different from uploading your assignments on ecourse2? 

The Wix e-portfolio provides us a new and creative way to demonstrate our works rather than just appreciate others' works through tedious black and white Word. I can see everyone’s personality through Wix e-portfolio (e.g. Ellison is minimalism; Ella likes purple) It’s really interesting!

 

 

Challenges

1. What difficulties have you encountered in terms of creating and editing your Wix e-portfolio over these two semesters? 

The only and biggest problem was the menu on the top. I made sure it was in the middle EVERY TIME before I left, but it would somehow move to somewhere else the next time, then I recalibrated it again, and kept playing the loop! It nearly drove me crazy (^_^) 

 

2. Among all the difficulties mentioned above, what was the most challenging one? How did you handle this challenge? 

One day I just clicked on some bottoms and magically solved the problem!

 

3. Will you continue to use or write posts on this Wix e-portfolio in the future? Why or why not?

Maybe not, at least in a short term. After all, creating the Wix e-portfolio was originally score-oriented; however, I will definitely return to it if I need a portfolio for applying something!
