Final Reflection

It is the first time I post my writings on the internet. It is really novel and interesting, especially the journal writing part. I like to keep journals; however, posting my journals on Wix is another fun. I can use different fonts, background color, typesetting, and every picture I want (the major downside of keeping a diary on paper is that I am really bad at drawing, so my diary looks a little tedious). What’s more, someone will leave their comments below. It is like sharing a post on Instagram while the post is longer, with a stronger personal style, and, of course, in English. I wrote about the video I made during the summer vacation, the Beautiful Little Things in the First Week of Winter, and my reflection on the worst movie I’ve ever seen, and all of them received very sincere and warm-hearted remarks. They said my journal made them happy and laughing, and their cute comments really made my day! Every time I posted a new essay or a new journal, I would always review the previous journal and also those comments. And I think the joy of interacting with others is the main benefit of writing the e-portfolio (though I am not good at commenting and responding, I’ll try harder next semester!) Sometimes I was so concentrated on the content and the design that I forgot the readers. TA would remind me that I can enlarge the words, or rearrange the typesetting or the readers would have difficulty reading it. Although I wailed every time I heard the deadline of the journals, I enjoyed the process of writing and decorating the pages. The only trifle problem I encountered is that I cannot find the right one at the first time. In conclusion, I really enjoy using Wix to display our essays and journals, and the joy of designing my own website and the interactions with others. I will keep working on it next semester!
